Ben is the Managing Director and Senior Wealth Advisor at Franklin Wealth Advisors, Inc. Personally, he has almost 4 decades of experience in the financial services industry. He has provided comprehensive financial planning services to clients in all walks of life.
Ben received his CFP® certification in 1987, became an Enrolled Agent in 1991, passed the CPA exam in 1997, passed the first-level CFA exam in 2000, and earned the CWS® designation in 2010. The CWS® designation is a highly acclaimed program because it is about both knowledge and application – it reflects Ben’s desire to become his clients’ most trusted advisor.
Ben has a Master of Science Degree in Financial Planning through the College for Financial Planning in Denver, CO.
Ben attained the AIF® credential in 2015. Attainment of the AIF credential demonstrates understanding of the Prudent Practices and methodology. In 2015,
Ben also attained the designation MPAS®, Master Planner Advanced Studies. According to the College for Financial Planning website, the MPAS® designation is the most advanced professional designation in the financial services industry.
Ben and his wonderful wife Charlotte have been married for over 37 years and are the proud parents of four grown sons and the even prouder grandparents of fourteen living grandchildren. Ben enjoys traveling, visiting his grandchildren, running, golfing, sudoku, and watching old tv shows (Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Matlock, Columbo).
Ben is very active with Nehemiah Project International Ministries. Through NPIM, he has taught courses in Biblical Entrepreneurship in four states, as well as South Africa. He is also a member of Kingdom Advisors, the National Association of Christian Financial Counselors, the Financial Services Institute, and is a past president of the Central IL Council of the Financial Planning Association.
